iConnect v1.6.0 is our biggest update yet. Chat has been completely rebuilt into a modern messaging experience, and a brand-new real-time voice intercom lets you talk instantly over local Wi-Fi. Modern Chat - Five message types: text, photo, video, file, and voice - Group chat to talk with multiple devices at the same time - Reply to any message with an inline quoted preview - Recall your own messages within 2 minutes; the other side sees a "Message recalled" placeholder - Mention members in group chats with @, and the recipient sees their name highlighted - Typing indicator shows when the other side is writing - Cross-conversation search with highlighted snippets, tap to jump straight to the message Real-Time Voice Intercom (Push-to-Talk) - Hold the big round button to talk, just like a walkie-talkie - Works in both one-to-one and group chats - Multiple people can speak at the same time, audio is mixed naturally - A triple pulsing ring expands with your voice: blue when you talk, green when the other side talks - Tuned for low latency on your local Wi-Fi Voice and Media - Long press the microphone to record voice messages up to 60 seconds - iOS: slide up during recording to cancel - Voice bubbles show a clean waveform and play length, one bubble plays at a time - Tap photos for a full-screen viewer with pinch to zoom and swipe between photos in the same chat - Built-in player for shared videos - One-tap preview for any kind of file Smarter Sending - Type messages even when no device is connected; once you connect, text auto-resends - Tap a failed attachment bubble to retry instantly - Every message shows its status at a glance: sending, sent, failed, downloading, downloaded Other Improvements - iOS tab bar now uses filled icons on the selected tab for a sharper look - New Chat section in Settings: see conversation count and total attachment size, and clear all chat history in one tap - Chat attachments are stored per conversation and automatically cleaned up when you delete a message or a conversation Privacy by Design - Every message and file stays peer-to-peer on your local Wi-Fi - No account, no cloud, no analytics, no tracking - Microphone is only used for voice messages and push-to-talk Thank you for using iConnect.
