Version 1.4.8 puts Safari's spare blocking capacity to work. De-Ad ships four Safari content blockers, and Safari limits each one separately. Two of them were full while another sat mostly empty, so thousands of known ad and tracker domains were being cut for lack of room. They now move into whichever blocker still has space. - ~163,000 blocking rules, up from ~147,000 - Nearly 17,000 ad and tracker domains that used to be cut are now blocked - Every domain the source lists rank now ships - Rules refreshed from all upstream sources - Fixed a Site Rescue bug that could mangle certain domain names when saving them Compatibility is unchanged. The built-in exceptions that keep sign-ins, video players and checkouts working are still applied, in every blocker. No VPN, no traffic interception, no data collection. Safari does the blocking; your browsing stays private.

  • v1.4.725d ago

Version 1.4.7 fixes sites that broke in 1.4.6. The last update added a lot more blocking, but it went too far and broke some pages — surveys, embedded video players, cloud consoles and a few sign-ins could fail to load. This release fixes that: - Respects each blocklist's built-in exceptions, so sign-ins, video players and checkouts keep working - Tracker rules no longer block the site you are actually visiting - No more over-blocking entire services like cloud apps and survey tools - Pages that refused to load now open normally Ads, trackers and beacons are still blocked just as hard. Ad blocking is free forever; optional themes now live in Settings. No VPN, no traffic interception, no data collection. Safari does the blocking; your browsing stays private.

  • v1.4.61mo ago

De-Ad now blocks with multiple Safari content blockers instead of one — roughly 3× more rules (~148,000) for much stronger ad, tracker and beacon blocking. IMPORTANT: After updating, enable EVERY De-Ad blocker in Settings ▸ Safari ▸ Extensions. The app shows you how on first launch. - ~148,000 rules across multiple blockers (was ~40,000) - Blocks fetch/XHR tracking beacons that slipped through before - Path-based ad rules plus a comprehensive new domain source - Wider, edge-to-edge home layout - Calmer, lower-power animations - Cleaner Site Rescue page and faster navigation - Quick "Manage in Safari" shortcut in Settings No VPN, no traffic interception, no data collection. Safari does the blocking; your browsing stays private.
