TonalSnap 2.1 adds Practice Lab, a new offline rehearsal companion built around the tuner and metronome. New in this build: - Instrument-aware practice plans for guitar, bass, ukulele, violin, and chromatic work - Offline visual drill cards for intonation, subdivision, odd meters, bow pulse, string crossing, bass pocket, ukulele tuning checks, and stage-ready run-throughs - Tempo ramp recipes that apply directly to the metronome - Tuning target maps for the selected instrument and alternate tuning - Practical checkpoints for pitch center, timing consistency, and clean performance passes Also included: updated metadata, refreshed documentation, and additional tests for Practice Lab logic.

What's New in TonalSnap 1.2 Three real workflow improvements for how musicians actually practice: Practice Presets Save a named snapshot of your current instrument, tuning, tempo, time signature, and subdivision - then recall it with a single tap. Switch between "DADGAD at 90 BPM, 6/8" and "Drop D at 132 BPM, 4/4" without re-entering six settings each time. Tap the bookmark icon in the header to manage your presets. Presets are stored locally on your device, offline, no account required. Flat/Sharp Note Display Toggle between sharp (A#, D#, G#) and flat (Bb, Eb, Ab) note names in Settings -> Display. The setting applies to the tuner's main readout and the Reference Tone panel. Keyboard players and horn players who read in flats no longer have to mentally translate on every reading. Instrument-Aware Reference Tone Range The Reference Tone panel now shows an octave range matched to your instrument: bass players see octaves 1-3 (covering low B through the full range of a 5-string), guitar players get octaves 2-5, violin players get octaves 3-6. No more scrolling past pitches that are out of range for your instrument.

Select any tuning from the new Tuning strip below the instrument picker and the string dots immediately update to show your actual open-string targets — so the tuner highlights the right peg for the tuning you're actually in. Reference Tone (Pitch Pipe) Tap any note on the new Reference Tone panel to play a sustained synthesized tone at that exact pitch (concertA-aware). Tune your instrument by ear — match to the drone instead of watching the needle. Works across octaves 3, 4, and 5. Fully offline. Tap again or tap Stop to silence. Tempo Trainer A gradual BPM ramp built into the metronome. Set a start tempo, a target tempo, a BPM step size, and how many bars to hold each tempo before advancing. When enabled, the metronome automatically increases the BPM on every N-th downbeat — no manual nudging needed. A live progress bar shows how far through the ramp you are. When you hit the target, a haptic confirms it. All three features work completely offline, require no account, and respect your existing haptics and sound settings.
