v1.0.7 — Two new Fire Support Planning classes. The Planning pillar (unlocked at SSG with all four Advanced classes complete) now has four classes instead of two. P3 — EFSTs & THE SCHEME OF FIRES. The Essential Fire Support Task — what makes a fires task "essential," how TPME (Task / Purpose / Method / Effect) structures it, and how EFSTs sequence into a scheme of fires the FO executes. 6 lessons, 6 quiz items, 4 recall cards, 2 applies-or-not drills, and a chip composer drill where you assemble a complete EFST in TPME order. P4 — INTEGRATING FIRES WITH MANEUVER. Fires nested in the maneuver scheme. The four essential fires tasks (enable / isolate / screen / suppress). SOSRA — the deliberate breach sequence, all five letters: Suppress, Obscure, Secure, Reduce, Assault. The FO's critical lift/shift call during Assault. Trigger lines (phase / terrain / time / NAI). Phased fires across an operation (preparation / shaping / decisive / sustaining). Worked example: deliberate breach of a wire obstacle at a notional EE platoon position, walked through every SOSRA element with the FO's exact calls. 6 lessons, 7 quiz items, 4 recall cards, 2 applies drills, and a chip composer where you assemble SOSRA in doctrinal order. Both classes are FM 3-09 grounded with verbatim chapter / paragraph citations in the lesson text. v1.0.5 — Two fixes from SME field testing of v1.0.4. 1. PROGRESSION PERSISTENCE — XP, rank, and consecutive-days streak no longer reset on app update. A v1.0.4 user reported their PFC/SPC/SGT progression and streak disappearing after the TestFlight update. Root cause was a SQLite load failure being silently swallowed and overwritten by the next mutation. Fixed by: • Distinguishing "first install" (safe to initialize) from "load failed" (don't overwrite real data). • Adding a backup row that rotates on every save — load tries primary, falls back to backup on parse error. • Gating all mutator writes on hydrationSucceeded so a transient SQLite hiccup at startup can't clobber existing progress. • Surfacing all persistence errors via Settings → Report a Problem so we see future incidents. 2. FIRE MISSIONS — CFF INPUT NO LONGER COVERS THE MAP — The text input on iOS now stays compact (one-line minimum, three-line max) so the mission map remains visible while you type a call for fire. The huge multi-paragraph placeholder that used to inflate the input is now behind a "?" reference button — tap it only when you want the doctrine cheatsheet (Polar / Grid / Shift / FFE / IS / FPF / linear / munitions examples). v1.0.4 — FIST Cert Prep doctrine pass. Every Cert Prep question is now ATP-grounded: • 298 questions cross-checked against the source publications — ATP 3-09.30 Observed Fires, ATP 3-09.32 JFIRE, FM 3-09 Field Artillery Operations, JP 3-09 Joint Fire Support, JP 3-09.3 Close Air Support. • Every explainer carries a verbatim doctrine quote with chapter citation — no AI-paraphrased answers. • 57 wrong-answer corrections. Examples: "Fire support system" → "The Fires Cell" (ATP 3-09.30 1-3). "Tailoring" → "Task-organizing" (FM 3-09 4-33). "Survey" → "Mensuration" (3-6, citing JP 3-60). Practice mode scales the same composition to 20. • 13 sequence-sensitive questions now enforce doctrinal order — the 15 subsequent corrections (ATP 3-09.30 5-24), SLOCTOP and FAPARCA memory aids, the 9-line CAS brief, CFF elements, methods of engagement, etc. • 35 questions whose answers couldn't be located in any available source publication were quarantined rather than served with guessed content. Version 1.0.3 is a polish-and-performance pass. FIXED — GETTING BACK TO THE MAIN MENU • You can now return to the Operations Board from every section — Basic Training, Fire Missions, ROC-V, and the FO tools. Previously a few screens had no back control and you had to close the app to get out. Every screen now has a clear back button. IMPROVED — CONSISTENT LOOK • The topographic brand background now runs consistently behind every screen, top to bottom — tools, classes, references, and more — for a cleaner, unified feel.
