Simple Mode — a new way to use SleepCast SleepCast 3.5 introduces Simple mode, a streamlined experience built around falling asleep to podcasts with a smart sleep timer. Simple vs Expert — Choose your experience in Settings → Experience Mode. New users start in Simple mode; existing users stay on Expert. Podcast grid — Your subscribed shows appear as a clean grid of cover art with tilted artwork, accent shadows, and flippable tiles that reveal episode info and controls. Grid or list layout — Switch between grid and list views, with sorting by title, latest episode, rating, subscription date, and more. Mini player — Playback controls and progress stay at the bottom of the screen while you browse. Fullscreen player — A dedicated player with a collapsible sleep timer panel; full timer options remain in Settings. Play Next — Queue episodes from podcast tiles, see your queue position on each tile, and get toast confirmations when adding or removing items. Progress rings — Play buttons on podcast tiles show playback progress at a glance. Downloads — Pick episodes to download per podcast, or let Simple mode keep the latest episode ready automatically.

3.0.1: Huge performance fix (less battery usage) New design 3.0: Custom Playlists! This update brings a major refresh of the player and queue experience, with support for custom playlists. You can now create and manage playlists, add or remove episodes, add episodes in batches, and clear playlists. Playlist selection has also been improved with clearer pickers and better feedback when episodes are added or removed. The player has been redesigned with a cleaner Now Playing card and new queue controls. Switching between Playlist, Binge Podcast, and Remix is now clearer, with improved sorting options and automatic progression to the next episode. Bookmarks now support transcript search and highlighted search results, making it easier to find relevant fragments. List rows across the app have also been unified with shared card styling for a more consistent interface.
