Runfindr 1.2 — a fresh face and smarter routes. A BRAND NEW ICON Runfindr has a new look on your home screen — a bold white R with a runner's lean. Same app, more spring in its step. OUT-AND-BACK ROUTES NOW GO THE DISTANCE Fixed an issue where out-and-back runs could come out at around half the distance you asked for. Whether it's your chosen route or the suggested alternative, the turnaround point is now placed so the full run matches your target. BETTER LOOPS, CHOSEN BETTER The route engine's sense of shape has been sharpened — it now judges loops from their true centre, so genuinely round, satisfying circuits rise to the top and lopsided ones get filtered out. FASTER GENERATION Each tap of generate now does its map lookups once instead of repeating them for every attempt, so routes appear quicker — especially in areas where the engine needs several tries. MORE VARIETY, MORE RELIABILITY Route attempts now sweep evenly around the compass instead of picking random directions, giving better coverage of your area on every generate. Runfindr 1.1 — better loops, more accurate distances. ROUTES THAT MATCH WHAT YOU ASKED FOR Fixed an issue where requesting a longer run sometimes produced a much shorter loop. Pick 10 km and you'll get a 10 km loop, not a 4 km one. SMOOTHER LOOP SHAPES Loops are now noticeably better balanced — fewer long detours on one side, fewer awkward spikes off the main route, and fewer needless kinks at junctions. The route engine has been retuned to favour evenly-shaped loops that feel like a single circuit instead of two corridors stitched together. FEWER LOPSIDED ROUTES IN RURAL AREAS The generator now scores how balanced a route's outbound and return legs are, so the small roads-and-footpaths edge cases that used to produce a tiny crossover joining two long corridors are heavily preferred against. You should see this most on country starts. ACCURATE TIME ESTIMATES The estimated time on the route preview now reflects your easy pace from your profile, matching what the slider promised when you set up the run. VISUAL POLISH Cleaned up a small visual issue where today's planned run callout could blend into the header at the top of the home screen. The callout is now a clearly distinct card.
