MarsMissionPro Version 5.0 is our biggest update yet and transforms the app into a comprehensive educational toolkit for learning how missions to Mars are planned. This release adds a large collection of new calculators, visualizations, and knowledge modules while preserving the clean and simple design philosophy of the app. A completely enhanced 2D orbital visualization now displays the Sun, the eight major planets of the Solar System, selected dwarf planets, and several example exoplanets from the Gliese catalog. The view also includes a transfer trajectory from Earth to Mars to help users understand how interplanetary travel works. New mission planning tools have been added to estimate oxygen, water, and food requirements based on crew size and mission duration. The app now calculates total life support mass and provides a simplified habitat area estimate to show how much living space may be needed for a crew. Mission analysis has been expanded with new metrics including launch risk level, mission badge, mission readiness score, fuel burn percentage, delta V gap, and mission difficulty. These features provide a clearer picture of how rocket performance and mission logistics influence overall mission preparedness. The Mission Cost Estimator introduces an educational cost score based on crew size, mission duration, and life support mass. This feature is designed to help users understand how larger and longer missions become more resource intensive. A new Mission Report system compiles all current calculations into a detailed summary that can be saved within the app or copied to the clipboard for sharing and further analysis. Additional educational modules include: Exoplanet Facts Space Glossary Learn Mode Mission Safety Checklist Mission Phase Guide Planet Comparison Mars Environment Mars Facts New interactive calculators include: Weight on Mars Age on Mars Crew Mission Planner Rocket Delta V Calculator Launch Window Calculator Travel Time Estimator Mars Sol Trip Converter Solar Energy on Mars Rocket Presets allow users to instantly load reusable rocket inspired parameters for rapid experimentation. Reset Values makes it easy to restore default settings and begin a new mission scenario. The interface has been refined for both iPhone and iPad with improved spacing, card layouts, and responsiveness. Orbit rendering has been upgraded to provide a richer and more informative visual experience while remaining lightweight and easy to understand. This update also includes numerous performance enhancements, user interface refinements, and internal code improvements for greater stability and easier future expansion. MarsMissionPro remains an educational tool designed to make space science more accessible to students, enthusiasts, and anyone curious about how humanity may one day reach Mars and beyond.
