- **Operational knot-selection matrix.** Compare task, load behavior, release needs, and rope condition. Results explain both fit and failure modes, stop entirely for damaged or unknown rope, and elevate life-safety limitations. - **Rope lifecycle records.** Log dated inspections, findings, notes, and pass/watch/retire outcomes. Existing inspection history is imported into structured records without discarding the original log. - **Spaced practice.** Due and overdue reviews now use confidence and successful repetitions to schedule the next recall while preserving the complete practice history. - **Clearer safety boundaries.** Prominent notices identify the app as instructional reference, require rope and knot inspection, and state that calculations are unverified estimates rather than WLLs, certification, or qualified instruction. - **More resilient local data.** An unreadable SwiftData store is backed up before recovery; Settings reports recovery or temporary-storage status. - **Accessibility.** Touched flows use Dynamic Type, stronger VoiceOver descriptions, and at least 44-point interactive targets.

This update sharpens the interface: the iPad layout now uses a centered, comfortable reading width instead of stretching edge to edge, plus small display fixes. iPhone is unchanged.

Knot Atlas — What's New Version 1.3 - Skill Map — a 112-knot mastery grid showing your progression across every knot in the catalog. Knots are color-coded: Never tried / Attempting / Reliable / Mastered. Filter by category or mastery level, see per-category completion bars, and tap any cell to jump straight to its detail view. - Drill Mode — a timed, auto-selected 5-knot practice session. The app chooses the knots you need most (weighted by mastery depth, reliability rate, and how recently you last tied each one), shows the first step and dressing note as a reminder, runs a live timer, and logs the result to your practice history. - Focus List — the Practice tab now highlights your three weakest knots (tried at least once, lowest reliability rate) so you always know what to work on next without digging through the full catalog. Version 1.2 - Favorites — tap the heart on any knot's detail screen to save it. Filter the catalog list to your favorites instantly with the heart button in the search bar. - Rope-work Glossary — 50 searchable terms covering rope anatomy, materials, technique, strength and load, safety and inspection, and knot types. Every entry cites its source (Ashley Book of Knots, UIAA 101/104, EN 892). - CSV Export — export your entire practice log as a spreadsheet from the Practice tab. Opens in Numbers, Excel, or any CSV viewer. Columns: date, knot ID, knot name, duration, rating, reliable. - Fixed: quiz sessions and rope log entries were written to isolated stores and could not see data from the main app. All five data types now share a single SwiftData container. - Fixed: Settings "About" row now shows the real version number from the bundle.
