We also made the nearby-shelter map load more quickly and more reliably, so the places that can keep you safe are ready the instant you open it. Same watchful app, now with more accurate alerts. You can now set your place by simply choosing your prefecture, with no GPS and no map. It is the fastest way to receive the alerts that genuinely concern you, and it asks for no location sharing at all. The rest of this version is devoted to edge cases, those rare situations where an alert could go astray: a distant tremor with no felt effect treated as an emergency, a ward of a major city labelled with the name of its prefecture, an evacuation order attached to the wrong place, a safety check-in request arriving with no alert to explain it. These situations are now handled correctly. We also revised several screens so they stay clear when you have given only a prefecture. Set your places once. We handle the rest.
