Major update, with a complete redesign, new flight planning tools, and more accurate calculations. A NEW LOOK • Every menu and screen has been redesigned, with support for your preferred text size. • Performance, Navigation, and Aerodynamics are now grouped under Functions. • Night now uses a red-shifted amber color scheme designed for use in a dark cockpit. • Auto switches between Day and Night to match your device's Light or Dark appearance. NEW TOOLS • Point of No Return and Equal Time Point, with ETAs from your time off. • Required True Airspeed finds the true airspeed and heading needed to make a planned groundspeed. • Cloud Base estimates the base of cumuliform clouds and the relative humidity from the surface temperature and dew point. • Time/Distance to Station calculates time and distance to a VOR or NDB from a bearing change. • Lead Turn Distance tells you how far before a fix to start a standard rate turn. EASIER TO USE • Favorites: star the tools you use most to keep them at the top of the main menu. Favorites sync across your devices through iCloud. • Open functions from Search, the Shortcuts app, Control Center, the Lock Screen, or the Action button. • Every function and conversion has help that explains what it calculates, how to use it, and the conventions it uses. • Weight & Balance solves for any field. Enter any two of weight, CG, and moment to get the third. • The IFR Timer keeps counting when you leave it or lock your screen, and notifies you when time is up. • Change a field's unit from a menu right beside it. • The Time Calculator adds an h:m format for logbook times. MORE OPTIONS • Leg Time can be shown in minutes on Time & Distance and Fuel Consumption. • Airspeed accepts Total Air Temperature as an entry as well as OAT. • Hydroplane Speed gives results for both rotating and non-rotating tires. • Pivotal Altitude adds a pylon elevation and an MSL result. • New units: hectares, metric horsepower, and imperial fluid ounces. CALCULATION IMPROVEMENTS • The standard atmosphere now includes layers above 36,089 feet, improving Mach and true altitude calculations at high altitude. • Corrections to Mach numbers, Wind Correction Angle, Thunderstorm Cell Height, fuel densities, and more. • The keypad's decimal key now matches your region's number format.
