A women's league, badges to earn, and a call to make on every game. WNIHL ELITE Follow the Women's National Ice Hockey League Elite division alongside the EIHL and NIHL — pick a club, find their rink on the map, and get their schedule, standings, stats and news as the season is published. ACHIEVEMENTS Earn badges for calling the season, getting to the rink and following the games. Find them in Settings. WHO WINS? Call the winner on any upcoming game and see how the rest of the app is leaning once you've picked. Picks lock at the face-off. CALL THE SEASON Pick who wins the league, who finishes bottom and who lifts the cup, then track your call all season. Call it any time — the picks never close. Once your own picks are in, see what everyone else called. CLUB PAGES, REIMAGINED Your club's colours across the top, the season at a glance, and a cleaner schedule, roster and stats. ALERTS PER LEAGUE Following clubs in more than one league? Each one now has its own alerts, so you can take one league's news and leave another's. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE • Game pages open straight away, with the teams and head-to-head on screen while the rest loads • Small fixes now reach you the next time you come back to the app • Setup's team picker is sorted into a tab per league • Home-screen widgets show NIHL club crests, name the day of the week on a game more than a week away, and no longer call tonight's game Tomorrow • Home leads with a pre-season game when that's your club's next one • A sponsor credit on the Schedule tab and in Settings — tap it to visit our partner • Belfast's rink is now named The O2 Belfast FIXES • Regular-season games no longer carry a gold trophy — that's back to meaning a cup or play-off game • Shared score cards name the season the game was actually played in • Team rosters show last season's players before the new roster is announced, and jersey numbers are no longer cut off • Opening a game from a widget now has a way back into the rest of the app • A link to a league this version can't open says so and offers an update • The app icon picker only lists clubs that actually have an icon • Alerts, transfers and Call the Season are hidden for leagues they don't apply to • Article dates no longer freeze as "yesterday" • Departed clubs are named properly instead of showing a slug • Fixed a rare Android crash when the rate-the-app prompt fired as you left the app

Your club, right on your home screen. HOME-SCREEN WIDGETS Add the new Elite Ice widgets to see your club's next face-off — opponent, puck drop date and time — and the latest result at a glance. I'M GOING Mark the games you're attending, from the game page or the schedule, and build your own record of nights at the rink. YOUR GAMES, IN YOUR CALENDAR Subscribe to a personal feed of the games you've marked and they'll appear in your calendar app, final scores and all. SETTINGS, REIMAGINED A fresh club-first Settings screen — your team front and centre, theme previews you can see before you pick, and a fan zone for guides, ideas and feedback. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE • Calendar feeds now subscribe over a secure connection — no more "Not Secure" warning. • Subscribing to a club's fixture calendar from its team page now works for NIHL clubs. • The arena name on the game page gets a full line again — the attendance and ticket buttons sit on their own row.

Every Monday, meet the week's standout skater. Player of the Week now lands on your home screen with their photo, club colours and full stat line. New to the sport? There's a plain-language guide in Settings that explains periods, penalties, the standings and the stats — no jargon, nothing assumed. Also in this update: - Game pages open much faster the first time you tap one - A finished game now shows just its score, marked OT or SO when it went past regulation - The Elite League reads as the EIHL again throughout the app - Pre-season friendlies on the home screen no longer open a page that couldn't load
- v1.13.01mo ago
A NEW SCHEDULE The Schedule tab has been rebuilt around the way fans actually think about a season — not as a list of fixtures, but as gamedays. It opens on a week strip where every day is present whether or not there's hockey on, with your club's days marked in its own colours, and the games below grouped into a sheet per day. Your club's next game sits pinned above it all: the countdown to face-off, the rink, and tickets or the stream in one tap. Once the puck drops it becomes the live score, and after the horn it's the result — so the one game you came for is always the first thing you see. Every game on the list now says where it's being played as well as when, and both clubs carry a five-game form guide. RIGHT DAY, WHEREVER YOU ARE Schedule now anchors "today" to UK time. Following from another time zone no longer marks the wrong day's games as tonight's. YOU DECIDE WHAT'S NEXT There's a new feature board in Settings. Vote on the ideas we're weighing up, send us your own, and watch what gets built — ideas that ship stay on the board marked as shipped, so you can see what your votes turned into. ALSO IN THIS RELEASE - NIHL news cards show a real publish date instead of "Invalid Date" - The feature board stays readable when you're offline or its refresh fails, and clearly marks saved data as saved - A retry button no longer covers the error message it's offering to retry - Steadier news and transfer updates for both leagues
