  • v2.23d ago

New data source for live river conditions. DriftLogic now reads USGS's new Water Data API, which keeps every gauge working after USGS retires its old service this winter. If a station's water temperature sensor goes quiet, you'll see when it last reported and the last temperature it posted instead of a blank tile. Quick retry when USGS is slow to answer. Seasonal messaging updated. Steelhead can show up early on September rain, so the app no longer tells you they've left for the summer.

  • v2.116d ago

Your catch log grew up. • Tap any fish to open it: full conditions snapshot, the pin on a map, your rig and notes. Edit anything, or delete it (with a confirmation this time). • Pin the spot, not your couch. Log after you've left the water and drop the pin on the exact run, snap it to a public access point, or use your location if you're still standing in it. • Length and weight are quick pickers now, so your log and your CSV export stay clean. • Export is a real .csv file with local times, ready for Numbers, Excel, or Sheets. • Largemouth bass joins the log. • If a USGS gauge goes quiet, the app now says so and offers a retry instead of showing nothing. • New line under the logo: Read the river, build a rig, log a fish.

  • v2.01mo ago

The biggest DriftLogic update yet: • RIVER MAP — every river's live gauge on the map, plus verified public access points with one-tap directions • CATCH LOG — two taps to save a fish with the exact river conditions attached. On your phone only, exports to CSV, no account ever • MY RIVERS — your starred rivers at a glance: prime-band status, trend, temp, and 7-day flow charts • Redesigned rig builder — river-first picker and faster state switching • Every river now builds a rig instantly — gauges that can't measure something use clearly-labeled seasonal estimates you can adjust • New pop-art look throughout Tight lines.

  • v1.71mo ago

A cleaner way to pick your species: Target Species is now a single dropdown — Steelhead loaded by default, with Smallmouth Bass, Walleye, Channel Catfish, and Carp right below it. One tap, one species, no confusion. Matches the web tool at rockyriversteelhead.com. Also in this update: honest wording about connectivity — DriftLogic needs a connection to pull live gauges and the latest recommendations, so build your rig before you lose cell service on the water.

  • v1.62mo ago

The full Great Lakes update: 53 new rivers — 67 total across 7 states. • NEW STATES: Wisconsin (Bois Brule, Milwaukee, Root, Kewaunee + 7 more) and Minnesota's North Shore (Knife, Baptism, Lester + 6 more) • Michigan grows to 14 rivers: Pere Marquette, Little Manistee, Au Sable, Grand, St. Joe, Platte and more • New York grows to 12: Oak Orchard, Genesee, Salmon, Black, Oswego, the Sandys and the Erie creeks • Ohio, Pennsylvania and Indiana fill out with the waters locals actually fish — Huron, Euclid, the PA mile creeks, Little Cal and Salt Creek • Same honest-data rules: every gauge verified live against USGS, dam-regulated rivers carry release-schedule caveats, indicator gauges are labeled, and ungauged creeks say so plainly • Sunrise/sunset and bite windows now timezone-correct on Central-time rivers
