devPad 2.0 is the biggest update yet — the browser, panes, and AI chat have all been overhauled. NEW • Session Restore - devPad can reopen exactly where you left off: your pane layout, split sizes, and pages. Turn it on under Launch Page settings. • Pane keyboard shortcuts - toggle AI Chat (⌘⌥C), Snippets (⌘⌥S), Relay (⌘⌥R), Data Tools (⌘⌥T), or Inspector (⌘⌥I), and close all panes (⌘⌥0) from the new Panes menu. • AI connection profiles - name your saved connections and set per-profile timeouts (great for slow-loading local models), temperature, and max tokens. API keys now live securely in the macOS Keychain. • AI Chat on the sidebar - a removable bookmark that toggles the chat pane. • Better AI responses - every code block gets a language label and one-click copy button, and you can regenerate the last answer. • Browser essentials - per-site page zoom (⌘+/−/0), find in page with match count (⌘F), page history (⌘Y), reopen closed page (⇧⌘T), print (⌘P), download progress with cancel, link previews on hover, and a richer right-click menu. IMPROVED • Split resizing is now precise - dividers follow your pointer exactly, and every pane keeps a usable minimum size, even when the panel shrinks. • New panes open next to the pane you're working in instead of squeezing the whole layout. • AI Chat shows the server's actual error message instead of a bare status code, and chat history moved to safer storage that supports large image attachments. FIXED • Pinch-to-zoom no longer stops working after the panel loses focus. • Fixed a crash when dragging bookmarks into folders. • Closing an expanded pane no longer reopens stuck in fullscreen. • Sending a message after deleting your last conversation now starts a new chat automatically.
