About

You've read that verse a dozen times — and still feel like you're missing something. That feeling isn't a lack of faith. And it isn't you. You're reading a translation: one scholar's choice of words, where the original carried layers an English word can't hold. DeepWord puts the actual Hebrew and Greek beneath every verse, one tap away, made readable. Built not for seminary — for you. SEE WHAT T…

2.0 gave you the original word. 2.1 teaches you to read the sentence it lives in. Words carry meaning. Sentences carry the argument. This update is about seeing how a verse actually thinks: NEW — The verb's real force. Was it done once or kept being done? Did he do it, or have it done to him? Word Study now explains what each verb is actually doing — and lifts the sense that fits your verse to the top. NEW — The argument, visible. "For." "Therefore." "So that." "But." These small words are the hinges every argument turns on — and translations rush past them. DeepWord now flags each one and tells you what it's doing: giving a reason, drawing a conclusion, marking a turn. NEW — Promises, kept. Where an Old Testament promise is picked up in the New, the cross-reference now says so — in both directions. Start at the promise or start at the fulfillment; the thread is yours to pull. NEW — Notes where you need them. A rare word, a repeated word, a meaning that shifted — short notes now appear right on the word, while you're reading it, not buried three screens away. Also: cross-references are now ranked by how closely they connect (with a line explaining why, and shared words highlighted), and every word card now leads with one clear meaning — the full range of readings is one tap away. Fixed: every Psalm with a title now opens fully in Study, Septuagint references read cleanly, and the Lexham English Bible is back. If DeepWord has opened up a verse for you, a rating or review truly helps other readers find it. And if something feels off — Settings now has a "Send a suggestion" button that comes straight to me. Every message gets read.

DeepWord 2.0 is our biggest update yet. NEW — Read the original, word by word. A continuous interlinear reader for any chapter: every Greek or Hebrew word with a plain-English gloss right beneath the line. NEW — Word connections. Long-press a word and see exactly what it refers to, so you always know who "he," "it," or "them" points back to. Every Hebrew word now carries a scholar's dictionary (BDB) rewritten in plain English — the kind of depth that used to take a seminary library, made readable. • Word Study, clearer: related words, every shade of meaning, and the grammar of each form — in everyday language • Names & places: tap a person or place for a built-in Bible dictionary • Follow any word everywhere it's used, then read each occurrence in context, highlighted • Save & organize your study in color-coded lists — yours to keep • Cleaner text across translations and dozens of smaller fixes Buy once. Fully offline. No subscription, no ads, no tracking.

  • v1.81mo ago

Word Study now stays open as you navigate verses—no more losing your place. Scholarly-note cross-references are tappable, and the notes themselves are formatted in clean paragraphs with language-aware titles. Lifetime updates: still no subscription, still no ads, still fully offline.

More Greek and Hebrew depth, a new translation, and a smoother study flow. THE DICTIONARY FORM ON EVERY CARD Each word card in the Study screen now shows the word as it appears in your verse and, below the line, the dictionary form it comes from. Hebrew and Greek inflect heavily — the word in the text is rarely the word in the lexicon — so looking a word up and following it into its full entry finally lines up. Each card also labels its plain meaning as the word's general sense, so a verse's specific wording is never mistaken for the whole story. ENGLISH ON EVERY GREEK PHRASE When you study a Greek word, the set phrases it appears in now show their English right alongside — "the word of God," "the word of the Lord," and so on. No more bare Greek with verses underneath. FOLLOW A WORD BACK TO ITS ROOTS In a word study, the forms a word grows from — its root, where it derives from, its Hebrew or Greek counterpart — now read in plain English instead of bare letters. Many are tappable, too: follow one into its own entry to trace a word across the original languages, then step back the way you came. THE LEXHAM ENGLISH BIBLE (LEB) Added the LEB to your side-by-side translations — a modern, transparent translation that stays close to the original word order. That brings DeepWord to 10 English translations, traditional to literal, all switchable in one tap. JUMP STRAIGHT TO THE VERSE Tap any cross-reference or lexicon citation and the verse you wanted is highlighted the moment you arrive, so you never lose your place in the chapter. Plus a refreshed lexicon database and stability fixes.
