About
cyberWriter is a privacy-first Markdown editor for Mac. Write in plain text, watch it render live, and export to PDF, Word, or HTML with no Pandoc, no LaTeX install, and no terminal. It is built for the documents people actually have to send: reports with images, captions, references, and page breaks that land where you put them. Your notes live in a vault where they link to each other, so a sing…

Everything from 3.9 and 3.95 in one update. TYPE [[ AND PICK A NOTE Start a wikilink and cyberWriter offers the notes to finish it, in the Markdown editor and in the rich-text view alike. Recent notes first, then filtering as you type across titles, aliases, and folder paths. Type [[# to search by tag. Arrow keys to move, Return to insert. IMAGE CAPTIONS AND FIGURES An image on its own line becomes a figure, with its alt text as the caption. Optional numbering prefixes "Figure 1." and renumbers as you reorder, or pin a number by writing it yourself. Vault embeds can be captioned and sized. Figures never split across a page in a PDF. BRING YOUR OWN CSS One stylesheet applied to every preview and every export: heading colours per level, line length, margins, paragraph spacing. It is a real file you can edit in any editor, keep in version control, or sync between Macs. GLOW TERMINAL A command line for your vault. Familiar commands (ls, cd, cat, grep, find) alongside vault-native ones (links, backlinks, tags, recent, stats), with your AI model on the prompt line: pipe a search into it, send the answer straight into a note, and let it read and edit files with undo behind it. New in this update: a guided demo that runs on your own notes, session transcripts saved as a note, and a greeting that knows your vault. PLATO APPEARANCE A warm phosphor finish across the whole app, a rose app icon, and a knowledge graph in the same shape. FASTER, AND MORE FINISHED Reliable tooltips on every control. Faster saves on large vaults. Opening the file browser no longer waits for the knowledge graph to draw. Images written as now resolve anywhere in your vault. LaTeX written with \(...\) and \[...\] typesets in the editor. The AI Workspace opens with somewhere to start instead of a page of instructions.
